Valparaiso, IN – A passenger was killed in a single car crash early Wednesday morning.
According to Valparaiso Police Department, if happened around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 49 and US Highway 30, resulting in the loss of a passenger’s life. The crash site caused the closure of several ramps along the US Highway 30 and State Road 49 interchange. However, as of 7:00 a.m., those previously closed routes have been reopened to traffic.
Preliminary information suggests that alcohol and/or drugs may not have played a role in the accident, but this is subject to further scrutiny.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing. The victim’s identity has yet to be released.
