Four Chicago Residents Charged in Retail Theft after High-Speed Chase on I-355

Chicago, IL – Four Chicago residents face charges following a retail theft incident and subsequent high-speed chase. 

According to DuPage County officials, the suspects allegedly stole more than $4,200 worth of liquor from Pick N Go Liquors in Bloomingdale Tuesday night. The pursuit escalated to a high-speed chase on I-355, where the getaway vehicle, reportedly driven by Jakeiya Brown, reached speeds of over 120 mph. Police intervention led to the arrest of Donald Brown, Terrell Jones, Equnne King, and Jakeiya Brown. The apprehension was facilitated by the Oak Brook Police Department using spike strips. 

All four defendants are scheduled to appear before Judge Daniel Guerin on February 13, 2024. The charges against them include burglary, retail theft, and aggravated fleeing.
