Gary, IN – State Police Address Unfounded, Gruesome Social Media Rumor following Investigation

Gary, IN – The Indiana State Police’s Criminal Investigations Division, operating out of the Lowell Post, has issued a statement Friday night to dispel particularly disturbing rumors circulating about a recent investigation in Gary. 

Indiana State Police report source of these rumors, which suggested a scenario involving multiple bodies and a wood chipper, remains unclear. The police department has declared these rumors entirely unsubstantiated, confirming that their investigation on Burr Street has concluded without any such findings and maintaining that there is no danger to the public. 

Details behind the investigation have not been released at this time. This announcement serves to alleviate community concerns stemming from these baseless and unsettling rumors.
