GoFundMe for Illinois Brothers Who Shielded Cousin Approaching $50K Goal

GLENVIEW, IL – A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to aid the family of Carlos Jesus Guzman, 19, and Jose Antonio Guzman, 16, who tragically lost their lives shielding their three-year-old cousin from gunfire on Saturday evening. 

The incident occurred on the 10400 block of Michael Todd Terrace, where the brothers were shot while protecting their young relative. 

Carlos, known for his humor and love of soccer, had recently graduated from Glenbrook South High School. Jose, a talented artist and aspiring soccer player, was set to begin his junior year there. The family is grappling with the loss of both sons and siblings. The campaign has garnered $36,763 of its $50,000 goal through 633 donations. 

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.  The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting, appealing for information at 708-865-4896. Donations can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/f/please-support-the-guzman-family.
