Marion, IN – A high-speed police pursuit spanning three counties ended in a crash and multiple arrests this morning after suspects allegedly fled from deputies while armed.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 8:50 a.m. Monday, April 20, to the 1900 block of East 38th Street in Marion on reports of individuals in a gray Chevrolet displaying a firearm and chasing a complainant. A deputy located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop near East 38th Street and State Road 400 East.

Authorities say the vehicle initially stopped but then fled as the deputy exited his patrol car, prompting a pursuit involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The chase traveled through Grant County into Delaware County and onto Interstate 69, where speeds exceeded 100 mph at times.

The pursuit continued southbound until the suspect vehicle struck a trailer being towed by another vehicle near mile marker 218, disabling the car. Two occupants were taken into custody at the scene.

Officials report a loaded Century Arms Mini Draco AK-style pistol was recovered from the vehicle. The pursuit covered approximately 47 miles across Grant, Delaware, and Madison counties.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Authorities identified the suspects as Cameron Allen Perry, 26, of Indianapolis, and Dontrell Devote Cole, 24, of Franklin. Both face multiple preliminary charges, including felony counts related to weapons possession, intimidation, resisting law enforcement, and criminal recklessness.

Officials remind the public that all charges are allegations, and the suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
