Grant Park, IL – Railroad Crossing Incident Sparks Safety Concerns in Kankakee County

Grant Park, IL – Residents and commuters in Grant Park are advised to exercise caution near the Taylor Street railroad crossing. 

According to the Grant Park Police Department, an incident occurred Monday afternoon where one of the crossing gates was struck, rendering it non-functional. The railroad authorities have been alerted and are en route to address the situation. 

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to be extra vigilant in the area until repairs are completed. The police are investigating the cause of the incident and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
