PESOTUM, IL – Illinois State Police’s very own K9 Loki is now safeguarded with a state-of-the-art bullet and stab protective vest, graciously donated by the non-profit, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. This noble act was sponsored by Galesburg residents, Don and Misty Fike, with an affectionate embroidery: “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always.”

Since 2009, Vested Interest in K9s has championed the safety of our four-legged officers, outfitting over 4,156 K9s nationwide with $6.9 million in protective vests.
