Hinsdale Home Targeted in Daring Evening Burglary: Police Urge Vigilance

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale Police Department is currently investigating a break-in that occurred in the upscale 400 block of East 57th Street. The unsettling incident unfolded on Wednesday, November 22nd, between the hours of 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm, leaving the community on high alert.

According to police reports, the unidentified offender(s) specifically targeted valuable jewelry, raising concerns about a potential rise in targeted thefts in the area. In response to this disturbing event, local authorities are urging Hinsdale residents to increase their home security measures.

The Hinsdale Police Department recommends leaving lights on at dusk to create an impression of occupancy and stresses the importance of activating alarm systems when homes are unoccupied. These measures are seen as crucial first steps in deterring potential burglars.
