Homewood: Man Shot in Attempted Sunday Night Carjacking, Illinois State Police Investigating

Homewood, Illinois – A 19-year-old man was shot in an attempted vehicular hijacking on Sunday night. 

According to police reports the incident occurred around 7:30 PM in the 17900 block of Halsted. The young man was taken to the hospital in serious condition following the attack. The perpetrators fled in an unknown vehicle, and their direction of escape is still unknown. Homewood Police Department, along with the Illinois State Police, are investigating the crime scene.
