Homewood Resident Targeted in Early Morning Shooting on Kedzie Ave; Police Seek Information

Homewood, Illinois – A Homewood man reported being shot at by multiple assailants as he exited his home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, according to the Homewood Police Department. The incident occurred around 12:48 AM in the 18400 block of Kedzie Ave. The man, who was unharmed, claimed the attackers fled northbound in an unidentified vehicle following the shooting.

Responding officers found several shell casings and noted damage to a nearby unoccupied vehicle and a garage unit. The police have initiated an investigation into this incident, which is believed to be isolated.
