BRADLEY, IL – Community members gathered in Bradley Friday to dedicate the 315 Overpass on Interstate 57 overpass in memory of fallen Bradley Police Officer Marlene Rittmanic.

Officer Rittmanic lost her life in the line of duty on December 30th, 2021, while responding to a noise complaint. The overpass now bears the name “Officer Marlene Rittmanic Memorial Highway.”

House Assistant Minority Leader Jackie Haas led the effort to dedicate the overpass, citing Officer Rittmanic’s unwavering commitment. The dedication, made possible by House Joint Resolution 15, serves as a poignant tribute to her 21 years of dedicated service and the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers.
