Illinois Jail Cook Arrested: Accused of Smuggling Contraband to Inmates

CAMBRIDGE – A 32-year-old Cook at Henry County Jail has been arrested for allegedly smuggling contraband goods to inmates.

Illinois State Police’s Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 arrested Jessica M. Lindquist, a 32-year-old cook from Henry County Jail Sunday.  Lindquist has been charged with multiple felonies including Bringing Contraband into a Penal Institution (Class 1 Felony) and Official Misconduct (Class 3 Felony), Lindquist’s alleged actions involved smuggling and distributing contraband to inmates.

Lindquist has since been release on a notice to appear. As legal proceedings unfold, questions about correctional facility security and employee integrity come to the forefront, emphasizing the need for ongoing vigilance.
