Illinois nears 80,000 COVID-19 cases, announces 54 deaths Monday

Illinois is closing in on 80,000 total COVID-19 cases. 

Illinois Department of Public Health officials announced 1,266 new cases on Monday, including an additional 54 deaths.  New cases bring totals to 79,007 cases in the State including 3,459 deaths across 98 counties.

No new deaths were reported on Monday by residents of Iroquois, Kankakee or Will Counties.
