Palos Park, IL – The Palos Park Police Department is taking a stand against teen dating violence by participating in Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM) this February. They emphasize the alarming statistic that one in three U.S. teens will experience some form of abuse from a dating partner before adulthood.

According to the department’s social media post, this community-wide issue extends beyond teens to parents, teachers, and friends. They are collectively urged to engage in conversations about the realities of teen dating violence and to foster safe, healthy relationships.

Community members are encouraged to speak with teenagers about the difference between toxic and healthy relationships, ensuring that the next generation understands that true affection does not involve harm.
