Indiana Mourns: Tragic Ambulance Crash Leaves One Dead, Another Critical

STARKE COUNTY, IN – A devastating collision involving an ambulance has sent shockwaves statewide. 

According to local officials one EMS paramedic lost their life, while another fights for survival. The catastrophe unfolded in Starke County Saturday at the intersection of 700 E and 800 S. 

Both paramedics were en route to save lives when their ambulance collided with another vehicle.  Starke County officials later identified the paramedics as Michael Wilcox, who died in the crash, and Brandy Salita, who is currently in critical condition.

The loss of a heroic first responder has left communities in mourning, while prayers pour in for the recovery of the second paramedic.
