Indiana Residents Overwhelm 911 Lines Amid Cell Phone Outage, State Police Advise Against Misuse

Indiana – In the wake of a significant cell phone service outage, Indiana residents have been flooding 911 call centers with reports of their personal cell service issues. 

The Indiana State Police are actively reminding the public that 911 services should not be used for such reports. Major carriers including AT&T, Verizon, and Cricket are among those affected by the outage that commenced early Thursday. According to AT&T’s public statement, they are cognizant of the disruption and are working to resolve the issue, although a specific timeline for restoration has not been provided. 

Residents are encouraged to contact their service providers directly for assistance and updates, keeping emergency lines clear for actual emergencies.
