Indiana Search Operation: Authorities Seek Missing Osgood Man, Vehicle, Kayak Found Near Versailles Lake

Versailles, IN – Local authorities are urgently searching for a missing man from Osgood, Indiana, after his abandoned vehicle and boat were discovered by Versailles Lake. 

According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, 18-year-old Carson Hughes was reported missing on Friday at 1:30pm, prompting an immediate search and rescue operation.  His vehicle and kayak were located abandoned nearby.

Efforts to locate Hughes, involving multiple agencies and advanced technology, resumed with the first light after being suspended due to unsafe conditions overnight. Information on Hughes’ whereabouts should be reported to the Indiana DNR Dispatch at 812-837-9536.
