Indiana State Police K-9 Shot in Paw During I-80 Chase in Gary, Suspect Arrested

Gary, Indiana – An Indiana K-9 officer, Rogue, was shot in the paw while apprehending a suspect in Gary. 

The incident occurred during a pursuit on I-80, initiated by Indiana State Police after identifying a stolen vehicle. The suspect, Damontae Reed, 22, from Gary, now faces multiple charges, including auto theft. Rogue received emergency treatment and is in stable condition. 

The Indiana State Police Lowell Criminal Investigations Division is conducting a thorough investigation.
