Indianapolis, IN – A brisk weather change is sweeping over Indianapolis with the National Weather Service predicting a sharp drop into the mid 20s tonight, following today’s light snow showers.

According to the latest updates, gusty winds of up to 40 mph will accompany the cold snap, posing an elevated fire weather risk. Despite the challenging conditions, the impact on fire risk is expected to be lessened by recent rains, with humidity hovering around 30%.

Residents are urged to prepare for the hard freeze and windy Tuesday.
