Indianapolis, IN – Indianapolis residents are urged to prepare for a severe weather system, bringing a spectrum of threats including possible tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast indicates high risks for damaging winds and hail, with the heaviest impacts expected southeast of Indianapolis. The timing of these severe conditions is slated for the afternoon to early evening.

Compounding the severe weather threat, Indianapolis is also facing a heavy rain advisory, effective until 2 PM, with warnings of potential flash flooding due to the additional rainfall.
