Indianapolis, IN – Late Night Blaze Engulfs Vacant Building on Shelby Street

Indianapolis, IN – In a late-night emergency, the Indianapolis Fire Department swiftly responded to a call at 11:47 PM Friday, after reports of smoke led them to a vacant structure ablaze at 229 Shelby Street. 

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, firefighters faced with heavy fire upon arrival, executed a well-coordinated defensive attack that successfully brought the inferno under control within 45 minutes. The rapid response and strategic efforts of the firefighters ensured that there were no injuries reported. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, as fire investigators remain on the scene to determine the origins of the blaze.
