Indianapolis, IN – Quick Response by IFD to Fire in Home Under Construction

Indianapolis, IN – Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) firefighters responded rapidly to a significant fire at a home under construction at 2022 N Alton Ave. 

According to IFD, the incident occurred at 2:53 PM, with black smoke visible for miles, signaling a working fire upon their arrival. The blaze, which was under control within 10 minutes, did not cause any injuries. 

The home’s owner, who purchased the property five months ago, stated that framing work was being done inside when the fire broke out. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
