Jasper County, IN – In a devastating early morning crash on Friday, two teenagers lost their lives, and two others suffered severe injuries in Jasper County, Indiana.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 3:08 A.M. near County Road 1200 N. and County Road 900 W. A vehicle, identified as a 2008 Cadillac CTS, carrying four local teens veered off the road at high speed, hitting two trees and splitting in two.
Emergency responders, including deputies from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and an officer from the DeMotte Police Department, arrived swiftly at the scene. They found the vehicle had crashed with such force that it split in half.
Two teens were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were transported for medical attention, one by ambulance and another via helicopter.
Initial investigations revealed the vehicle was traveling at over 100 miles per hour, as indicated by its internal computer. This high-speed impact raises concerns about road safety and teen driving habits in the area.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of this tragic accident.
