Joliet Nursing Home outbreak of COVID-19 kills 22 residents, 1 staff member

An outbreak of COVID-19 at a nursing home in Joliet has killed 23 people.

Symphony of Joliet now reports 23 dead among their COVID-19 cases at the nursing home, including 22 residents and one staff member.  Symphony of Joliet is part of a chain of nursing homes, located across Illinois and Indiana.

Prior to the outbreak, there were 165 residents at the Symphony of Joliet. Residents who have tested negative or presumed negative have been moved to other facilities.

Symphony operates 26 nursing homes in the area.
