DeKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University has proudly announced its Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester. This prestigious achievement highlights students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their respective fields.
Qualifications for the Dean’s List include a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, and at least a 3.75 for other colleges including Business, Education, Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.
Notable students from the local area who have earned this honor are:
- From Bourbonnais, IL: Adrienne Chinski (Psychology – B.S.), Maria Corzo (Mechanical Engineering – B.S.), and Kyle Forgue (Business Administration – B.S.), all alumni of Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School.
- From Bradley, IL: Carmen Houde, a Music Education major, also from Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School.
- In Braidwood, IL: Savana Helton, pursuing a Business Administration – B.S. degree, is a Reed-Custer High School graduate.
- From Kankakee, IL: Rylie Hartman, studying Nursing, hails from Herscher High School.
- Manteno, IL boasts several achievers, including Wes Dwyer (Undeclared Business, Manteno Senior High School), Benjamin Koranda (Mechanical Engineering-Robotics and Controls, Herscher High School), and Emma Spagnoli (SPED-LBSI with PEL, Peotone High School).
