Manteno, IL – Gotion, Inc., an electric vehicle battery manufacturer, is set to host two local job fairs in Kankakee County next week, offering a significant boost to local employment. Annie Quach, a member of the Gotion Recruiting Team, emphasized that the company is seeking a diverse range of skill sets for various positions, not limited to manufacturing roles.
The first job fair, primarily targeting KCC students but open to all job seekers, is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Room L355 at KCC’s Riverfront Campus, located at 100 College Drive in Kankakee. The second event, welcoming all community members, will take place on Thursday, Jan. 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the KCC North Extension Center, 450 N. Kinzie Ave. in Bradley.
During these fairs, Gotion representatives will collect resumes, engage in brief discussions with candidates, and gather information for subsequent full interviews.
The company has ambitious hiring plans, aiming to employ 2,600 individuals by the end of 2025, offering salaries 120% above the average wage for similar roles in the region.
