Kankakee, IL – Arson Investigation Underway After House Fire Attempt

Kankakee, IL – An alleged attempt to set a house on fire in Kankakee last night has prompted an arson investigation. 

According to the Kankakee City Police, officers were called to the 200 block of N. Greenwood Ave just before 10 PM on Thursday following reports of the incident. Upon arrival, they found that the suspect had fled the scene. An arson investigator has been called in to examine the details of the case closely. 

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to uncover further information and identify those responsible for the attempted arson.
