Kankakee, IL – A historic home in Kankakee, Illinois, designed by celebrated architect Frank Lloyd Wright, is about to be listed for sale for the first time since 1976.

The Warren Hickox House, built in 1900 and located at 687 S Harrison Avenue, is expected to attract significant attention for its architectural pedigree and unique design. Crain’s Chicago Business broke the story Thursday afternoon, noting the market anticipation for this Prairie-style gem.

According to real estate website Redfin, the estimated value of the home is between $217,000 and $258,000, a modest sum for a property of such cultural and historical significance.

The listing promises to be a landmark event for both Kankakee and the global legacy of Wright’s architectural innovation.
