Kankakee, IL – Online Sale Meeting Turns Into Armed Robbery

Kankakee, IL – A planned online sale meeting escalated into an armed robbery on Saturday night in Kankakee. 

According to Kankakee City Police, the incident occurred when a local resident, intending to sell items to a man from Chicago, was confronted by the purported buyer wielding a handgun. The suspect allegedly pointed the gun at the victim’s forehead and demanded the victim’s book bags and money. 

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. Police are currently investigating and searching for the suspect involved in this alarming crime. Residents are reminded to exercise caution when arranging meetings for online sales.
