Kentland, IN – Kentland and Jefferson Township officials are alerting residents and travelers of a substantial traffic surge along I-65 southbound toward Indianapolis, signaling the anticipated congestion for the upcoming eclipse. 

According to the Newton County Indiana Emergency Management, the increased traffic observed serves as a prelude to what might unfold the following day. Agencies are preparing extensive monitoring and response plans to ensure swift action to any emergent situations during the high-traffic event.
