Kentucky Tornadoes Confirmed: EF-1 Hits Barren County, Straight-line Winds in Woodford

Louisville, KY – The National Weather Service confirmed Friday afternoon that the severe damage in southern Barren County on Sunday night was caused by an EF-1 tornado with wind gusts reaching 110 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, the damage in Woodford County was attributed to straight-line winds with speeds estimated at 75-80 mph. In total, eight tornadoes were confirmed in the area on Sunday and Sunday night, contributing to a statewide total of 13 tornadoes across Kentucky.
