Lake County, IL – Gurnee Man Found Dead, May Have Been Dragged by Vehicle After Smoking

Gurnee, IL – A grim discovery was made early Monday when an unresponsive man was found at the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Estes Street. 

The Gurnee Police Department responded to the scene around 3:39 AM and suspect that the victim, a local resident from the 3800 block of Dorchester Avenue, might have been dragged by a vehicle. The deceased had reportedly stepped outside to smoke at around 3:00 AM, according to his wife, who lost contact with him shortly after. 

Police are actively investigating the incident, treating it as a significant case. They are calling on the public to provide any information that might help determine the circumstances around the man’s death.
