Lake County, IL – On Thursday evening, Lake County Sheriff’s Department’s K9 Loki, along with Deputy Kevin Lowe, played a critical role in locating a woman in crisis in unincorporated Lake Villa. Deputies had been called to a residence in the 38000 block of North Villa Court, where they were informed the woman had been injured and was in distress, having left the area before their arrival.

K9 Loki and Deputy Lowe promptly joined the search, and thanks to Loki’s tracking skills, they found the woman near a neighbor’s garage in the neighborhood. She was quickly transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation, ensuring she received the necessary care.

Sheriff John D. Idleburg commended K9 Loki and Deputy Lowe for their swift action, underscoring the importance of the K9 unit’s role in addressing community crises and their significant contribution to public safety in Lake County.
