Crown Point, IN – U.S. 231 in Lake County will be closed for two consecutive projects starting Wednesday, June 12, and lasting until mid-August.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the road will first close between Hendricks Place and Tenbrook Drive for a pipe lining project. Once this is complete, the closure will shift to between Bell Street and Fathke Road for a structure replacement project. The official detour routes will follow U.S. 41, U.S. 30, and State Road 55. Current closures between Hendricks Place and Chase Drive for unrelated utility work will remain unaffected.
