CHICAGO, IL – A Starbucks and Smashburger in the city were targets of vandalism over the weekend.
The restaurants, located at 4715 W Foster and 4709 W Foster respectively, were targeted by vandals in Albany Park overnight Saturday.  According to reports, establishments had their doors smashed, with Starbucks employees calling the police after discovering shattered glass upon opening the store.Â
Damage estimates have not yet been released as it remains unclear if any items were stolen, and no employees were present at either location at the time of the incident.Â
Authorities are investigating the incidents, and local residents and business owners are calling for swift action to ensure the safety and security of the community.
