LOMBARD, IL –  Police responded to an animal complaint of an anaconda on the loose in the parking lot of the Comfort Suites on North Avenue this week.  However, upon further inspection, the situation was far less dangerous than initially thought.

Responding officers rushed to the scene, and a thorough search was conducted to locate the reptile.  But after several minutes of searching, the police discovered the “anaconda” was, in fact, a bag of wood chips.

Although the call turned out to be hysterical case of mistaken identity, it’s essential to remember that it’s always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to safety.

If you have an animal complaint that can be varied by perhaps, a second individual, or you’re in actual danger, remember you can always call your local police non-emergency number to report an incident.
