Massive House Explosion in Illinois Causes Gas-Fed Fire, Widespread Debris Field

Lisle, IL  – A house explosion on Ivanhoe Avenue in Lisle resulted in a gas-fed fire and a large debris field. 

The Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District (Lisle Woodridge FPD) swiftly responded with multiple units. So far, there have been no injuries reported. The explosion leveled the house and scattered debris across a wide area. 

Eyewitnesses in the neighborhood near Glen Ellyn felt tremors from the blast. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has been called in to investigate the incident. 

Authorities are working to determine the cause of the explosion. Cleanup efforts are underway, and residents are advised to stay cautious.
