Bourbonnais residents facing food insecurity will have access to the Secret Food Pantry’s mobile pop-up event on Thursday, March 30, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event, held on Briarwood Lane, aims to distribute food to anyone in need without residential or financial restrictions.

To ensure the smooth flow of the event, organizers have requested attendees to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior and follow the designated route. Attendees can take Illinois Route 102 (Main Street NW) and turn onto Stratford Drive East to reach the pantry. They must turn right onto Briarcliff Lane, then onto Plum Creek Drive, where vehicles will wait while awaiting entry for food pickup on Briarwood Lane.

Pantry organizers have requested attendees not to block any residential or commercial driveways while waiting.

The Secret Food Pantry, based in Godley, accepts financial donations at Financial Plus Credit Union locations. Volunteers are also welcome to participate in the event. Interested parties may reach out to The Original Secret Pantry group on Facebook.

Residents can review the new pop-up pantry route map by visiting the Village of Bourbonnais events page at https://www.villageofbourbonnais.com/residents/events.
