KANKAKEE, Ill. — A traffic stop turned high-speed chase ended dramatically Tuesday evening when a Bradley man crashed his motorcycle.

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police attempted to pull over John M. Planinsek Jr., 37, near Kennedy Drive and Broadway at 6:30 p.m. for reportedly riding a cycle without a license plate. Planinsek allegedly sped off, reaching over 80 mph toward Bourbonnais. Deputies discontinued the pursuit amid heavy traffic but were later summoned to a crash scene at Stockton and Marsile Street in Bourbonnais.

There, they arrested Planinsek on multiple charges, including an outstanding Illinois State Police warrant and aggravated fleeing.
