Over 5,000 dead from COVID-19 in Illinois

Illinois officials announced on Wednesday the statewide death toll has passed 5,000 since the pandemic began. It now stands at 5,083 after 160 new deaths were announced on Wednesday.

Of new cases on Wednesday, 1,111 new cases were announced today bringing the totals currently stand at 114,306.

Of deaths announced today include a woman from Kankakee County and six men and women of Will County.
