School Bus Catches Fire in Matteson, Illinois

MATTESON, IL – An unoccupied school bus in Matteson caught fire on Monday at Ridgeline and Route 30, drawing a rapid response from local first responders. 

The incident led to a temporary road closure as Matteson police and fire departments worked to address the situation. 

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the bus was successfully pulled over to the side of the road. The cause of the engine fire is currently under investigation.
