Suspicious Death Investigation Underway in New Lenox after Two Found Dead in Home

New Lenox Township, IL – Deputies from the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious deaths Sunday in Unincorporated New Lenox Township. 

According to the Sheriff’s Department, the call was received around 9:28 PM, concerning a residence in the 23000 block of S. Spencer Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two individuals, a 58-year-old male and a 57-year-old female, deceased from gunshot wounds in a second-story bedroom. The victims, identified by their daughter who had not heard from them for several days, were found following her visit to check on them. 

The Will County Coroner’s Office has scheduled autopsies and will release the names of the deceased post-examination.

Investigators and crime scene analysts are actively working on the case. Early evidence suggests the incident is isolated, and there is no immediate threat to public safety. Further information will be released as the investigation progresses.
