COAL CITY – Multiple people have been reported injured in what is being described as “heavy damage” accident involving a train vs car Wednesday night.
It happened around 10:15 p.m. near the Gorman and Reed Road Railroad Crossing. No details have been released on the number of injuries or type of vehicles involved in the wreck.
Multiple emergency personnel are responding to the scene including Coal City, Braidwood, and Wilmington Emergency Crews. A Lifestar chopper has been requested.
