MAZON, IL – It’s been 22 years since thousands of American citizens were killed in terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and a high jacked plane that would crash in field in western Pennsylvania.

The Mazon Fire Protection District is set to lead a moving Silent Parade later today, beginning at 6:30 pm and winding through the town’s streets.

As the sun sets, residents are encouraged to step outside and join in a moment of reflection as the procession passes by their homes.

This heartfelt event is designed to ensure that the memories of those nearly 3,000 tragically lost in the 9/11 attacks remain etched in our hearts.
