BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Connect Roasters, a renowned coffee roasting company, has exciting news for coffee lovers in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and beyond. After six years of roasting coffee and selling products online and at events, the company has finally secured a location for its first coffee shop at 141 S. Main St., Bourbonnais.

Announced Friday, the new shop is situated in a well-trafficked intersection, across from Olivet Nazarene University and next to Dairy Queen. Connect Roasters believes this location is an ideal fit for its first retail store, given the community’s strong support for local businesses.

Renovations have already begun, and the company plans to open the shop later this summer. The new coffee shop promises to offer early risers hours of service, with an emphasis on quality espresso-based drinks and filter coffee. Nitro cold brew and tea on tap will also be available, alongside non-coffee and caffeine-free drink options.

The food menu will include breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and gluten-free options. The outdoor seating area, fondly referred to as the “coffee courtyard,” will offer a relaxed ambiance, while the store’s space can be rented for small events such as baby showers, wedding showers, and small parties. The store shelves will feature Connect Roasters’ own specialty roasted coffee, brewing equipment, and other products for purchase.

Connect Roasters’ founders thanked everyone who made their dream a reality. These include Brandon and Lindy Casey, who purchased the property and have been perfect partners for this endeavor, Buck Tamblyn, a local realtor with McColly Bennett Commercial Advantage, and The Village of Bourbonnais, which has been an accommodating host for Connect Roasters’ roasting business.

The company also extended its gratitude to its loyal customers, who have supported the business from the start and through a pandemic.

The company’s next step is to expand the reach of its giveback by getting its product into more hands.
