KANKAKEE, Ill. – Early Thursday, Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 19-year-old Larelle L. Davis after a brief car chase on local highways.

Deputies initially halted Davis on Route 17 and 4000 East for an expired license plate around 12:30 a.m. While officers stepped out to engage, Davis sped off, pushing his vehicle beyond 100 mph.

Though the chase was momentarily called off, deputies later located the speeding car. The pursuit ended dramatically as Davis crashed near 12000 East and 1000 South Road. He now faces charges of aggravated fleeing, eluding, and reckless driving.
