Vandalism Leaves Porta John, Sink Damaged in Manteno

MANTENO, Ill. – A porta john and sink in the Village of Manteno fell victim to an act of vandalism early Saturday, leaving the toiletry duo toppled and damaged. 

The incident occurred near the intersection of N Walnut and Second Street, raising concerns among residents about the safety and security of public amenities.

Manteno police are actively seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the responsible individuals. Security footage captured multiple suspects, including three men and a woman. 

One of the male suspects was seen wearing a Chicago White Sox Kopech Jersey. Additional descriptions include a man in a black hoodie with black shorts and a red and Navy cap, another wearing a gray hoodie, black shorts, and a blue cap, and a woman with blonde hair wearing a blue jacket, white shirt, and black shorts.

The primary suspect, wearing the Chicago White Sox Kopech Jersey, is believed to have caused the damage. The Manteno Police Department urges anyone with information about these individuals to contact them at (815) 929-4801.
