SWAT Team Responds to Child Welfare Medical Situation at Lake County Home

Lake County, IN – SWAT Responds to Child Welfare Concern. Lake County authorities dispatched a SWAT team to a home on Lake Shore Drive in response to a medical welfare check involving children. 

The Friday operation, which saw Cedar Lake Police and Fire Departments assist the Indiana Department of Child Services, led to road closures and a significant law enforcement presence. 

The situation, originating from a court order related to an ongoing investigation, was defused without injuries or arrests. The Cedar Lake Police commend the involved agencies for their cooperation and professional conduct.
