Indiana Woman Sought for Allegedly Pilfering Over a Dozen Town Plants

Highland, IN – The Highland Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman involved in a peculiar case of plant pilfering. 

According to Highland Police, the suspect was caught on surveillance cameras removing and absconding with more than a dozen newly planted flowers from a Town of Highland sidewalk planter. Reports say the incident happened last Saturday around 10:14 pm, in the 2600 block of Highway Avenue.

Video footage allegedly shows the unidentified woman pulling up in an SUV, stopping by the sidewalk planter, and brazenly plucking the flowers. The alleged horticultural theft was captured by the surveillance cameras in the area.

Authorities are urging anyone who may recognize the suspect or have information about her identity to contact Highland Detectives at 219-838-3184. All tips will be kept confidential, and callers can remain anonymous.
