Joliet Middle School evacuated after Bomb threat

JOLIET – Police responded to a report of a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon at Timber Ridge Middle School.

Upon news of the threat, all students and staff were safely evacuated from the school located at 2101 Bronx Road. 

“Officers with K9’s are completing an extensive search of the school and the building is clear to this point.  Our search continues  at this time. There is no indication of an active shooter and there are no reported injuries.” Joliet Police said in a statement this afternoon.

No further details have been released as the investigation continues.
